The Hague, Netherlands: A large-scale event titled “Europe Stands with Tibet”, commemorating Tibetan National Uprising Day, was organised in The Hague, Netherlands, with thousands of Tibetans and supporters.

Over 100 Chinese nationals joined the protest, marking the largest Chinese participation since the event’s inception. In Zurich, Switzerland, more than thirty Chinese individuals also marched in solidarity with Tibet’s freedom movement.

The demonstration began at 11:30 AM, with participants gathering at Koekamp Park and marching to the International Court of Justice and the Chinese Embassy. Slogans like “Free Tibet!” and “Release the Panchen Lama!” were shouted and over 100 Chinese participants carried banners calling for an end to persecution and human rights abuses inside China. Many were former religious persecuted refugees from China, who empathised with the Tibetans’ struggle.

Prominent figures supporting the Tibet cause, including actor Richard Gere and former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom, spoke in support of Tibet during the commemoration.

These events highlight growing global solidarity with Tibet and the intersection of human rights struggles against the Chinese government.

Chinese Liaison Office for European countries, Sangay Kyab, from the Tibet Bureau in Geneva attended the event and coordinated with the Chinese participants.
