FM Nirmala Sitharaman Holds Pre-Budget Meeting With Finance Ministers Of All States, UTs In New Delhi

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is holding a pre-budget meeting with the finance ministers of all states and union territories in New Delhi ahead of the forthcoming general budget. The meeting is being attended by the Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, Finance Secretary T.V. Somanathan, Secretary Department of Economic Affairs, and senior officers. Yesterday, Ms. Sitharaman had a pre-budget consultation with representatives from farmer associations and agriculture economists. Earlier, she had held similar meetings with leading experts in the financial and capital markets sectors, industry leaders, and associations, as well as with leading economists.
