A Japanese Parliamentary and Business delegation led by the speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Nukaga Fukushiro, has called on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar at the Parliament House today. During the meeting, both sides underlined their commitment to further strengthen the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan. The two sides discussed the means to enhance trade and investment and people-to-people linkages.

A delegation also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that they discussed enhancing partnerships in the sectors of business, investments, education, and technology between the two countries. He added that expanding contacts in research, manufacturing, and human talent and skill base will advance our cooperation. The two sides also held talks on the shared imperative of building trusted, resilient, and reliable supply chains, especially in the field of digital and critical and emerging technologies.
