Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan today said that the youth of the country will be the largest contributor to making India a developed nation by 2047. Addressing the young NCC cadets at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day 2025 camp in New Delhi today, General Chauhan praised the young cadets for planting more than one lakh trees under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign throughout the year. He added that under the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, nearly 327 tonnes of garbage was also removed by the Cadets. The Chief of the Defence Staff asserted that more than ten lakh NCC cadets participated in International Yoga Day this year. He advised the young cadets to never give up and contribute to nation-building activities.
