Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh Launches Kapas Kisan App to Aid Cotton Farmers

Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh today launched the Kapas Kisan app to facilitate seamless procurement of cotton from farmers under the Minimum Support Price scheme. The App will empower farmers with self-registration, slot booking and payment tracking to bring greater transparency and speed to the cotton procurement process.
The Minister said that this farmer-first mobile app marks a major step in enhancing the ease in of selling cotton by the cotton growers. He further highlighted that this app has a user-friendly interface with support for multiple Indian languages. Mr Singh also mentioned that the app will help in protecting cotton farmers against any distress sales through assured MSP procurement, reduce manual paperwork and save time at procurement centres.
