NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subrahmanyam pressed upon the need for technology ownership as the nation cannot keep on living on borrowed technology. He said this after the quarterly report launch on Frontier Tech insights, highlighting the importance and need for 2D Materials.

 

Mr Subrahmanyam hailed 2D Materials as the next big technology disruptor and noted that it can make India into a semi-conductor leader by replacing its dependency on silicon. He highlighted that it is just one atom thick but has immense potential and high productivity. He pointed out India needs to develop an entire 2D Materials eco-system from research and development to the critical supply chain.
