Indian Navy today commissioned INS Aravali at commissioning ceremony in Gurugram in the presence of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. Speaking on the occasion, the Navy Chief said the new base would not only be a hub of technology but also of collaboration which will link platforms and partners across the oceans.
This is a step towards India’s vision of Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions (MAHASAGAR), and strengthen India’s role as the Preferred Security Partner in the Indian Ocean Region. AdmiralTripathi added that INS Aravali will provide the foundation for a robust administrative and logistical support and commensurate with the increasing scale and sophistication of facilities.
