The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the list of nominees for the Player of the Month award for September 2025. In the Men’s category, Abhishek Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav have been nominated from India, while the third nominated player is Brian Bennett from Zimbabwe.
Abhishek Sharma was named Player of the Tournament during the Asia Cup, where India lifted the trophy. The left-hander smashed 314 runs in seven T20 matches, including 3 fifties. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav emerged as the leading wicket-taker at the Asia Cup with 17 scalps.
In the women’s category, three high-class batters from India, Pakistan and South Africa have been nominated for the award. From India, Smriti Mandhana is there who became the Player of the Series against Australia, despite the Aussies’ triumph over India in the three-game series. Moreover, Sidra Amin has been nominated from Pakistan and Tazmin Brits from South Africa.
The winner will be shortlisted after voting on the official website www.icc-cricket.com.
