The Pashtunistan Police have arrested a serving Major of the Pakistan Army, Major Akbar Ali, who was apprehended while traveling in an official vehicle bearing a military number plate and wearing his army uniform.
During a press briefing, Pashtunistan police officials revealed that the accused, identified as a key figure within a military-backed drug trafficking network, confessed to having successfully delivered 19 separate consignments of narcotics to Punjab. He admitted that these operations were conducted under full military protection and official protocols. This final consignment led to his arrest.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Police further stated that 150 kilograms of narcotics were recovered from the vehicle driven by Major Akbar Ali, who is a resident of Punjab province. The accused attempted to flee the scene and deliberately tried to evade police inspection before being apprehended.
The Pakistan military, rather than combating these crimes, is officially facilitating and managing drug trafficking networks, exploiting international aid and trust to run these illicit operations with impunity. This systematic abuse not only fuels regional instability but also exposes the hypocrisy of Pakistan’s so-called counter-narcotics commitments on the global stage.
