The Ministry of Tourism today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Google India to strengthen the digital promotion of India’s tourism destinations. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shekhawat said digital technologies can create immersive experiences that showcase the glory and grandeur of India’s cultural sites to audiences across the world. He said the collaboration under the Incredible India initiative will strengthen India’s global tourism presence, improve digital outreach and position the country as a modern and globally competitive travel destination.

Under the partnership, Google India will provide insights on global travel trends, traveller behaviour and digital engagement to support evidence-based tourism promotion. The collaboration also includes training and capacity-building programmes for Ministry officials in digital marketing, content creation, campaign optimisation and artificial intelligence.
