EAM Dr S Jaishankar meets UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, in New York yesterday. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said they discussed global developments, including of West Asia, Ukraine and Sudan. They also recognised the strength of India – UN cooperation. Dr Jaishankar is in New York to lead the India campaign for a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council for the 2028-29 term.
