India and Lesotho reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation during the recently held Joint Bilateral Commission for Cooperation, JBCC meeting, including trade and economic, and development cooperation. The sixth meeting of JBCC between India and Lesotho was held in New Delhi on 30th of July. The JBCC meeting was co-chaired by Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa), Ministry of External Affairs, Janesh Kain and Principal Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of Lesotho, Thabang Lekhela.
External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that the Lesotho delegation met with Secretary (ER), Sudhakar Dalela on 31st of July. The Lesotho delegation separately held discussions with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, and Department of Commerce to discuss ways to advance cooperation across diverse sectors of mutual interest.
India and Lesotho enjoy close ties of friendship and cooperation across diverse sectors, rooted in their shared commitment to enhancing South-South cooperation.
