Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that service should be the main purpose of life and must be inherent in every individual. He said that in politics too, service should remain the guiding principle, even when one reaches the highest position. Mr Modi made these remarks during a virtual interaction with Seva Yatris travelling on the Yatra from Vadnagar to Varanasi. The Prime Minister said, ‘Seva Paramo Dharma’ service is the highest duty should remain the guiding principle.
Mr Modi said, service is the biggest driving force. He said, whether it is PM-KISAN or the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, countless such schemes are recognised for their last-mile delivery. The Prime Minister said, it is only when there is a spirit of service, four crore poor have receive permanent houses.
He said, when the spirit of service is integrated into a nation’s policies, service itself becomes the greatest driving force for the country’s progress. Mr Modi said, it gives rise to innovative schemes that bring out 25 crore citizens from the cycle of poverty.
He said, politics, elections, and systems of governance have their own place. The Prime Minister said, we are people dedicated to nation-building and set out with the resolve to build a developed India. He said, everyone must vigorously advance the pivotal role of the youth in building a developed India by 2047.
Mr Modi said, today’s young generation is both the architect of a developed India and the one that will be a major beneficiary of it.
During the interaction, Seva Yatris shared their experiences with the Prime Minister. They said that they planted saplings and conducted cleanliness drives as part of the campaign. They added that during the yatra, they interacted with people and received their positive feedback on the benefits of various government schemes.
