Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said India’s ‘Bio-Economy’ has grown eight times in the last eight years from $10 billion to $80 billion. Addressing the Pre Vibrant Gujarat Seminar on ‘Biotechnology: The Path of Innovation and Wellness for Viksit Bharat virtually at Science City in Ahmedabad, the Minister said Biotechnology will become the biggest foundation for healthcare in the coming times.
 
The Minister also added that Bio Agriculture and Bio Pharmaceuticals, Bio Services are the emerging sectors that are growing rapidly in the country. He said India will soon become one of the top 10 bio economies of the world.
