The National Cadet Corps Mount Everest Expedition Team, who recently conducted a successful summit to Mount Everest, has achieved a 100 percent summit success rate despite harsh weather and difficult terrain.

 

Ten cadets, comprising five boys and five girls, were novice climbers who underwent rigorous selection and training. Talking to Akashvani News, the team shared their experience.

 

A mountaineer from West Bengal and the Sikkim Directorate, Pratima Rai said that climbing the mountain was very challenging. She added that it was not only physically challenging but also had a great impact mentally and emotionally.

The youngest member of the Cadet, 16-year-old Sachin Kumar, expressed happiness after fulfilling his dream at this young age and advised everyone to stay determined to fulfil their dreams.

Another cadet from Uttarakhand, Virendra Singh Samant, has also shared his experience.
