Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over five thousand 900 crore rupees at Siwan in Bihar through video conferencing. They are related to urban development, sewage treatment, PM Awas Yojna, railways and the power sector. The Prime Minister dedicated the new Vaishali-Deoria railway line project connecting Bihar and Uttar Pradesh with a cost of over 400 crore rupees and also flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train between Patliputra and Gorakhpur.  He also flagged off an export consignment of a state-of-the-art locomotive built at the Marhowra ( मढ़ौरा) Plant for the Western African country Republic of Guinea.
In line with his commitment to conservation and rejuvenation of the river Ganga,  Mr. Modi dedicated six Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs)  under the Namami Gange project worth over 1800 crore rupees, catering to the needs of people in the region. On the occasion, he also laid the foundation stone for water supply, sanitation and STP projects worth over 3000 crore rupees in several towns across Bihar, aiming to provide clean and safe water to the citizens of these towns. Besides, he kick-started the work for a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in Bihar.  During the event, the Prime Minister also released the first instalment to more than 53 thousand beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana Urban in Bihar and handed over keys to a few beneficiaries to mark the Grih Pravesh Ceremony of more than six thousand crore rupees completed houses.
Later, Mr. Modi will also visit Bhubaneswar in Odisha this evening and chair the State-level function marking the completion of one year of the State Government. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over 18 thousand crore rupees.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hit out at RJD and Congress and accused them of making Bihar a symbol of migration. He said it is the NDA that has brought the state back on the path of development. Mr. Modi also alleged that youths of the state have only heard about the deplorable condition of Bihar and they do not have an idea what kind of misgovernance was there in the state during the previous regime. Mr. Modi stated this while addressing a public meeting in Siwan. He assured the people of Bihar that his government would continue to work for the development of the state.

 

Mr. Modi asserted that the entire world is appreciating India for its development, and they are seeing how the country is becoming the world’s third-largest economic superpower. He added that Bihar is going to play a very significant role in this direction. Mr. Modi stated this while addressing a public meeting in Siwan.
