25th Batch of Amarnath Pilgrims Departs from Jammu Under Tight Security

Under strict security arrangements, another batch of 2197 pilgrims, that is the 25th batch from Jammu, left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp for the Kashmir valley to perform pilgrimage to Amarnath Cave Shrine. The pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 100 vehicles early this morning. The batch included 1764 Men, 365 Women, 9 Children, 49 Sadhus & 10 Sadhvies. Of these, 573 pilgrims left for Baltal base camp at 3:31 AM and 1624 for Pahalgam base camp at 4:01 AM from where they will proceed for their further journey to the holy cave.
