The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of Indian Air Force delivered a breathtaking aerial display featuring nine Hawk Mk 132 aircraft in close formation during an Air Show held in Meerut. MoS Defence Sanjay Seth witnessed the air show and commended the team, noting that the air show aims to inspire youth to join the armed forces. The two day Air Show took off yesterday when Surya Kiran team captivated spectators with a breathtaking displays. The Defence Ministry informed that over 1 lakh people, including students, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers turned up over two days to witness the display.
In a social media post, MoS Defence Sanjay Seth described the event as a remarkable blend of discipline, precision, teamwork, and professionalism, and a testament to the Indian Air Force’s glorious capabilities. The Minister also commended the courage and dedication of the team which performed in over 800 airshows, both in India and abroad, in its 30-year journey, so far.
