In Gaza, at least 49 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes with attacks continuing since late last night into this morning. According to Shifa Hospital staff, 12 among the dead were sheltering near Palestine Stadium and eight in apartment buildings. Over 20 bodies were taken to Nasser Hospital.

As the violence escalates, U.S. President Donald Trump said, a ceasefire agreement could come within a week. Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer is expected in Washington for talks. Now in its 21st month, the conflict continues to deepen Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, with around 50 hostages still held by the Hamas since its October 2023 attack.
