The BRICS Women’s Ministerial Meeting, organized by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, was held in Kochi, Keralam. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, Minister of State Savitri Thakur and other dignitaries participated in the sessions.

Union Minister Annapurna Devi highlighted the four key priorities of India’s BRICS Chairship: Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability. ​Participating in the plenary session of the thematic panel discussions, Minister of State Savitri Thakur explained the significance India places on women’s empowerment and women-led development under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Delegates from 11 countries are participating in the meetings. In connection with the meeting, a special exhibition has also been organized at the venue.
