Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today for jointly collaborating on products in the telecom and cybersecurity domain. The Ministry of Communication informed that under the MoU, C-DOT, in coordination with RRU, will set up an Innovation-cum-Experience Centre at RRU’s campus. The Ministry highlighted that the centre will spearhead collaborative research, innovation, and technology development in critical domains. This includes Cyber security, Quantum Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Machine-to-Machine solutions, 5G networks and Mission Critical Services.
Meanwhile, the Centre will also conduct training, capacity-building and skilling programs to build an industry-ready workforce. On the occasion, C-DOT’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rajkumar Upadhyay, said, this MoU marks a significant step towards self-reliant innovation in telecom and cybersecurity.
