The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) hosted a cybersecurity familiarisation and interaction session for visiting journalists from Europe, America and Central Asian countries in New Delhi. The session was hosted in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
During the session, Director General of CERT-In Dr Sanjay Bahl outlined the organisation’s role in cyber security, crisis management, vulnerability assessment and coordinated response to cyber incidents. He highlighted the country’s growing cybersecurity ecosystem, driven by over 400 startups and a skilled workforce, and noted the use of AI-driven tools for real-time threat detection and response.
