In Chhattisgarh’s Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, twelve Maoists surrendered today. Those laying down arms include Ramdher Majji, a member of the Central Committee of the Maoists and a top Naxal leader.
The surrender took place in Kumhi village under Bakarkatta Police Station, where the Maoists handed over their weapons before senior officers of the Police and the Central Reserve Police Force.
These Maoists were active in various districts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. They have surrendered an AK-47 rifle, an SLR and other weapons.
