External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar expressed confidence that the visit of Panamanian Foreign Minister Javier Eduardo Martinez-Acha Vasquez will further strengthen bilateral ties across all sectors. During his opening remarks at a meeting with the Panamanian Foreign Minister in New Delhi, Dr Jaishankar said the current visit builds on the momentum of recent high-level exchanges between the two countries. He said both governments and their leaders are keen to deepen and broaden the India-Panama partnership.
The External Affairs Minister noted that India looks forward to closer ties with Panama, highlighting its strategic location as well as its economic stability and potential. He further expressed confidence that the discussions during the visit would open new avenues of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
