The nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will conclude tomorrow, with Maharashtra witnessing enthusiastic participation through a variety of events.

As part of the celebrations for India’s 79th Independence Day, citizens were encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes and establishments between August 13 and 15, receiving an overwhelming response across the state.

Under the campaign, Tiranga rallies were held in various districts, along with large-scale sales and distribution of the national flag. Schools organized special decorations, rangoli, painting, elocution, and essay competitions.

In Aalandi and Indapur, cleanliness and environmental awareness contests were held in municipal schools, accompanied by tree plantation drives.

In Vengurla, Sindhudurg, floral tributes were offered at the memorials of freedom fighters, while in Palghar, former soldiers were felicitated. The Ratnagiri police department organized a 5-kilometre ‘Drug-Free Ratnagiri Run’.

In Pimpri-Chinchwad, the municipal health department, under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’, launched the special ‘Har Ghar Tiranga – Har Ghar Swachhata’ campaign to promote patriotism and cleanliness, which included a street play.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement has now grown into a mass campaign, with Maharashtra making a remarkable mark in its execution.
