India and Mongolia friendship project is making steady progress: EAM Dr S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today visited the construction site of the Mongol Refinery Project with Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh and Industry and Mining Minister Gongor Damdinnyam. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said that the India-Mongolia friendship project is making steady progress. He also reviewed the status of work under implementation with the various teams involved. The External Affairs Minister interacted with the Indian and Mongolian workforce at the project site. He thanked them for their dedication and commitment in realising such a major project under challenging conditions.

The External Affairs Minister also met the Minister and Chief Cabinet Secretary of Mongolia, Battumur Enkhbayar. During the meeting, they both discussed the bilateral cooperation of both nations, including new avenues in mining, energy, technology and Human resources.
