Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari has said that India is constantly monitoring the situation across borders through intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

He said that country’s operational plans are dynamic and keep changing based on the situation, developing across any front. 

Briefing media in New Delhi today, Mr. Chaudhari said, Indian Air Force has very flexible and dynamic war plans which it keeps revising based on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. On the Air Force preparedness, Air Chief Marshal informed that IAF had signed a contract for 83 Light Combat Aircraft Mark 1As and it is looking at procuring additional 97 such aircrafts, which will bring the total number to 180.

He said,  IAF is also looking to sign a contract in coming years for procurement of 156 Light Combat Helicopter which was inducted in the IAF last year. He said, a contract has also been signed worth six thousand crore rupees for 70 HTT 40 trainer aircraft. He informed that overall procurement cost for Indian Air Force would be around two lakh 50 thousand crore to three lakh crore in the coming years.
