Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that India is on its way to become self- reliant in the mobile manufacturing industry. He added that within two year, complete domestic production of mobile phone components will be done in the country. The Minister highlighted this while interacting with reporters in New Delhi
Mr. Vaishnaw said that chipsets for various applications including CCTV are being developed in the country. He said that the government will invest more than 200 crore rupees to develop energy efficient micro-processors for high-performance computing, including servers. Mr. Vaishnaw also informed that more than 12 lakh central government employees have been onboarded on Zoho’s Indigenous digital suite so far. The Minister said that a Chatbot for fact-checking is also being developed to verify the authenticity of videos and online content, which will curtle to spread of fake content.
