India–South Korea Defence Partnership in Focus During Seoul Meeting

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today held a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Ahn Gyu-back in Seoul.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to further deepen India–South Korea defence, defence industry and strategic cooperation, with a shared commitment to regional peace, stability and technological collaboration.
In a social media post, Mr Singh said it was a highly productive meeting, as India and South Korea exchanged agreements on promoting defence cyber cooperation. The MoU was exchanged between the National Defence College of India, the Korea National Defence University and UN peacekeeping cooperation. The Minister said he is looking forward to strengthening the special strategic partnership between the two nations.
Earlier, Mr Singh laid a wreath at the National Cemetery of Korea and paid homage to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of their nation. He said their courage, dedication and spirit of patriotism remain an enduring source of inspiration. The Minister added that India stands in solidarity with South Korea in honouring the legacy of its heroes.
