Indian airports have not faced any adverse impact so far in relation to the cyber attacks on Collins Aerospace systems used at various European airports. The Ministry of Electronics and IT said the Collins MUSE software is also used by the Delhi airport but added that there is no impact on flight operations so far.
The government said it ran a quick check in India after reports of the European cyberattacks surfaced. No impact was found in India but airports have been asked to remain vigilant.
Meanwhile, London’s Heathrow, Berlin and several other European airports are facing operational disruptions after a cyber-attack on Collins Aerospace systems used at the airports. Cyber-attack has knocked out the check-in and baggage system. Affected airports are boarding passengers using pen and paper. Brussels Airport said it has no indication yet when the system would be functional again. It has asked airlines to cancel half their departing flights.
RTX which owns software provider Collins Aerospace said it is aware of a cyber-related disruption to its system in select airports and that it hoped to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
