The Indian Coast Guard (ICG)  carried out a long-range medical evacuation of a critically injured Iranian fisherman from the Arabian Sea. The Coast Guard informed that the injured fisherman is currently receiving medical treatment onboard their Ship Sachet, which is proceeding towards Goa for further medical management.
It said that the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC), Mumbai, alerted vessels in the vicinity to coordinate assistance after receiving information regarding a medical emergency onboard the Iranian fishing dhow Al-Owais
