In Gaza, thirty Palestinians were killed, most of them children and women, and dozens injured in an Israeli airstrike. The airstrike targeted a school housing displaced people in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip. Local media reported that an Israeli fighter jet bombed at least three classrooms with several missiles.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military in its reply said it has eliminated several militants in a precise strike on a Hamas compound embedded inside an UNRWA school in the area of Nuseirat. It also accused Hamas and its allies in Gaza of using schools, hospitals and other civilian infrastructure including facilities run by UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, as operational centres.
