Maharashtra Minister for Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development, Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, emphasised that Qatar invest in India in the field of Skill Development.

The Minister said that India has a young workforce. If Qatar signs an agreement with the Maharashtra government, students from here will be provided with skill development training as per the needs of industries in Qatar. Also, Qatar should invest in Maharashtra and contribute to the development of the state. This will benefit both the countries, asserted Minister for Skills Development Mangalprabhat Lodha.

The Minister said this while interacting with a Qatar delegation that is on India tour. He further added that Qatar and India have had diplomatic relations since 1973. There are 8.5 lakh Indian citizens living in Qatar and participating in Qatar’s development process.

He said our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also visited Qatar twice. During his visits, he interacted with the Indian community over there and emphasised strengthening the relations between the two countries.

The Minister also expressed the hope that if there is a strong foundation of friendship and development between the two countries, beautiful and strong relations will be established in the future.
