Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi said the safety of Indians, especially those from Keralam in the Middle East, is a top priority of his government. He was addressing a public meeting in Thiruvalla today as part of the NDA election campaign. Mr Modi said the government’s strong ties with Gulf countries help protect Indians there during these difficult times. He added that Keralam is ready for a historic transformation and that people’s immense faith in the NDA is visible across the state.
Women’s empowerment is a priority for the NDA and women have benefited the most from its policies, he said. Mr Modi also criticised the LDF and UDF, alleging that both fronts have long neglected the state, and said that under his government Keralam has received five times more funds compared to the previous period. NDA candidates and senior leaders are attending the event at Thiruvalla Public Stadium. This evening, Mr Modi will also take part in a roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the poll campaign.
