Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that we want to make our country like Ram Rajya ka Bharat. Ram is a value system in himself, and he is present in every part of this country. Mr Modi was speaking at the Dharm Dhwaja Sthapana Programme at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister ceremonially hoisted the saffron flag on the Shikhar of the sacred Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, symbolising the completion of the temple’s construction and ushering in a new chapter of cultural celebration and national unity. In his speech, PM said that the whole world is Rammaya today and this dharma dhwaja is not only a flag but the flag of the Renaissance and tells the story of the struggle to creation along with the principles of Ram Rajya.
Mentioning the growth of the Ayodhya City in recent times, PM said that Ayodhya is becoming the backbone of Viksit Bharat, and it will witness the confluence of spirituality and modern technology in the coming years. Till now, 45 crore people have visited Ayodhya.
PM said that if we want to progress, then we have to be proud of our culture and leave the mindset of slavery mentality and set a target to leave this mentality in the next ten years.
He said that the Central government is working for the upliftment of each and every person, particularly the marginalised sections of society.
He said that Democracy is in DNA of this country and it has been present from ancient times.
Talking about the giant leap which a country took in the field of economics, PM said that in the last 11 years, only India has moved from 11th to 5th position in terms of the world economies.
Aakashvani correspondent covering the event in Ayodhya reports that the PM held a road show this morning in Ayodhya and later performed Darshan Puja at different temples in the Shri Ram janmabhoomi Temple area.
Amidst chants of Jay Shri Ram, the reverberating sound of shankh dhvni and presence of thousands of Ram bhaks arrived at Ayodhya from the different corners of this globe, the Dharm dhwaja was hoisted on the day of auspicious Vivah panchmi and in Abhijeet muhurt. The process started at 11:40 PM, pressed the button and flag was installed at 11:50, the entire process took 4 minutes. After that Prime Minister Narendra Modi saluted the flag by showering flowers. The right-angled triangular flag or Dharm dhwaja, measuring ten feet in height and twenty feet in length, bears the image of a radiant Sun symbolizing the brilliance and valour of Bhagwan Shri Ram, with an ‘Om’ inscribed on it along with image of Kovidara tree.
