President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals 2024 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Udyan will open to the public from Friday and visitors can visit till 15th September. To ignite young minds with the spirit of Amrit Udyan, button badges will be distributed among the school children. Another new physical setup is an interactive Sound Pipe exhibit. It will allow children to experience the fascinating world of acoustics first-hand. Visitors will also be presented with a unique and eco-friendly Seed Papers memento.

For the first time this year, Sports persons have been invited to witness the Udyan on 29th August on the occasion of National Sports Day. Besides, teachers from schools and universities have been asked to come and view the flowers in their glory. A free shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station will also be available for the convenience of the visitors. Some of the key attractions at the Udyan are a wide variety of Summer Annuals, the Bonsai Garden, the landscape of rare and exotic flowers at the Central Lawn, the elongated Rose Garden at Long Garden, and the majestic Banyans. Bal Vatika with tree house, nature classroom and many features specially curated for children during the Summer Annuals. The tickets can be booked at Rashtrapati Bhavan’s website.
