The Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Anurag Garg, has emphasised strengthening coordination and intelligence sharing with State Anti-Narcotics Task Forces and identifying media influencers to create awareness against drug use.
Interacting with the zonal directors during NCB’s third Zonal Directors’ Conference, he said that targeting drug trafficking networks is the bureau’s top priority. He underlined stringent action against ghettos, identification of narco-offenders operating from prisons, and persons involved in Hawala of drug money. He also stressed ensuring quality investigation and prosecution for convictions.
The 3rd Zonal Directors’ Conference focused on Artificial Intelligence-driven efficiency and zonal performance review. The conference concluded yesterday in New Delhi with a renewed resolve for a Drug Free India.
