In Gaza City, rescuers are searching through the rubble of a collapsed apartment building, which was damaged in an earlier Israeli strike during the war. The building fell apart today. Civil defence officials say, 20 Palestinians have been killed, including five children, while 14 others were injured. Rescue workers say, nearly 100 people may still be trapped beneath the debris. Raed Al-Dahshan, director of Gaza City’s civil defence service, said, ten families were living in the six-storey building. He said, there is still hope of finding survivors. Alessandro Mrakic, head of the United Nations Development Programme’s Gaza office, said, several U.N. agencies are helping with the rescue operation.
