The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has announced an extension of timeline for submission of comments or suggestions on the draft of the Indian Statistical Institute Bill, 2025. Public can send their comments to the Ministry on the draft till the 3rd of the next month. The draft Bill for submitting comments are available on the Ministry’s website. Suggestions may be sent by email to [email protected]. The draft bill aims to elevate the institutional status of the Indian Statistical Institute by converting it from a registered society to a statutory body.
