The Minister said, over the past twelve and a half years, defence sector has not only expanded its capabilities but has also undergone a significant strategic shift in its approach to strengthening national security. He said that the government is building a defence ecosystem that not only strengthens national security and drives economic growth but also reinforces India’s role in the global security architecture.
The Minister said, India’s armed forces are fully prepared to face any challenge. Mr Singh said that today security forces have neutralized most of the terrorists within a year of their taking up arms against India.
The Minister said, Operation Sindoor, Balakot Airstrikes and Surgical Strikes were not just military operations, but they symbolised a decisive shift in the nation’s approach, moving from diplomatic condemnation to proactive action aimed at rooting out terrorism by reaching its very source. Reiterating India’s stand on cross-border terrorism, Mr Singh asserted that any further terrorist acts originating from Pakistan would invite an even stronger response.
