Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy chaired a review meeting with senior officials from the Ministry of Coal and CMDs of all coal subsidiaries in New Delhi. During the meeting, he reviewed the Committee Report on Quartz, Feldspar, Mica and Barytes mines and discussed measures to strengthen scientific mining, efficient resource utilisation and responsible mineral development.
The Minister also reviewed the coal production and off-take, emphasising focused efforts to accelerate production, expedite dispatches and meet targets to ensure uninterrupted coal supply and safeguard the country’s energy security.
